Join our guide for a 45 minute + Q&A facility tour exploring the in's and out's of the 1910 Gila County, Arizona Territorial Sheriff's Office & Jail. Enjoy the professional history video courtesy of APS, the main floor museum displays, the 2 large men's (pr 1910 salvaged historic Pauley System) tanks, 2 small women's tanks, the isolation cell, the "assassination" cell, the trustee's floor, and the catwalk to the historic 1906 courthouse next door, the trustee's courtyard and more. Stand right where the the shot was fired to assassinate Kingsley Olds in July of 1911, or where the "visions" of the Goswick girls appeared. Visit the cell that Aaron for the hit Travel Channel Show, Ghost Adventures was locked in isolation, or brave the "bridge of sighs" judging the height for yourself from right where both Zack Bagans was frozen in his steps and one of the historic prisoners leaped to his death. See with your own eyes the two nooses from the two last legal hangings in the state of Arizona, an enlarged photo of the hanging tree, and so much more. Bring your camera, and experience a glimpse of life in the Arizona Territory with us on this informative tour. You never know what fabulous images your camera will catch. Children under 10 are free with paid adult supervision. ADA accessible on the first/museum floor only. These full guided tours are available Thursday-Saturday at 1PM, or by special booking. Self-guided tours available from 11-1, Thursday-Saturday, tickets sold separately. All $ goes to the preservation, upkeep and caretaking of the facility.
