Artist Megan Rye will discuss her project "Foundling: 100 Days," a portrait series raising awareness about transnational adoption Artist Megan Rye will discuss her project, Foundling, featuring 100 portraits of children who were adopted by American parents from countries in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Central and South America. Rye’s installation raises awareness of immigrants’ civil rights and offers support for the adoption community in the United States. The talk begins at 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.). After Rye's artist talk in the Coffman Theater (inside the Coffman Memorial Union), join us across the way, in the Weisman Art Museum's Riverview Gallery space for a reception with the artist. This event is in conjunction with the exhibition Foundling: !00 Days, on view at the Weisman Art Museum through May 22, 2022. REGISTRATION This event is free to attend, but registration is required. Capacity is limited at both the artist talk in the Coffman Memorial Union and the reception at the Weisman which follows. PARKING Parking is available under the museum. University rates for parking ramps are $3 an hour and a $13 daily maximum. The 1,900 space East River Road Garage provides both disability and short-term parking for Coffman Memorial Union and the East Bank campus. With an attached entrance to the south side of the building, the East River Road Garage is easily accessible from Delaware Street.
