Almaden Golf and Country Club is a well-established 52-year-old private club where we take pride in providing the best experience for our members and guests. Our facilities maintenance department is looking for a reliable skilled leader with onsite building maintenance and janitorial experience to join our team in taking care of our beautifully remodeled property. This is a full-time position and candidate will need to be ready start immediately. Duties are but not limited to: Oversee all department employment, scheduling of staff and active supervision of staff. Implement and maintain an active facility Standard Operation Procedures, Cleaning/Maintenance Checklists and Preventative Maintenance Schedules. Maintaining a safe, clean, and ready for daily operations environment. Performs general repairs to the interior /exterior, plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, ventilation systems and building structures of the club. Able to perform repairs to plumbing, such as leaking pipes and faucets and clogged drains. Able to perform various duties involving painting, carpentry, and electrical work. Must be able to support housekeeping when needed including shift coverage which may include but not limited to cleaning windows, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, dusting, etc. Maintaining Kitchen Equipment, refrigerators, ice maker etc. Maintaining the filtration and chlorination of swimming pool and tests the swimming pool water. Maintaining Tennis courts, gym, pool, bocce/sports area, and equipment. Performs routine preventative maintenance required by the clubs PM procedures. Installs drywall, patch and paint walls, flooring and carpet and set tile and grout if needed. Keeps perimeter of building clean, free of trash and presentable. Completes other appropriate assignments made by the GM or MOD. Periodically helps with decorating for holidays and special events in other departments. Assist in events set up, A/V needs and breakdown. Assist with other depts. Golf dept. Green& grounds, F&B, events, etc. When needed or requested by supervisor. Be willing to work all shift, weekends, and split shifts if necessary. Meet and possibly assist with contractors and vendors for various jobs and tasks. On Call after hours /off hours may apply if needed. Skills and Attributes: Preferred general Trade / handyman knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, and general repairs. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools, pressure washer, cleaning machines, janitorial equipment. Must be comfortable on ladders above 10ft. and roof top areas. Be able to perform physical duties safely that may include walking, lifting, climbing, carrying object 25-50lbs, stooping /squatting for periods of time. reaching/puling overhead and other physical motions related to job. Must be able to drive a motorized utility cart. Must be friendly, helpful, and motivated in providing a great experience for our members and guest. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with manager, staff, vendors, contractors’ members, and guests. English speaking and written skills are a must. Spanish speaking is a plus. Computer skills for communication, research and ordering may be required at times. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be detail oriented, possess excellent time management and organizational skills. Must have the ability to exercise good judgement independently and perform job duties with minimal supervision.
