My thoughts on immigration. Vet ALL immigrants currently in the US. Send the criminals back to their country. Any law abiding immigrants get amnesty. We need the labor. We need workers. They want work, so this is really a no brainer. Any immigrant the does not report during this amnesty period will lose the right to becoming g documented in the future and deported if discovered. Next, lean on ALL employers to pay income. taxes on ALL workers. This way, immigrants do not become fin uncial burden on ours system. Every person reaping the benefits in America must pay taxes. Tighten security at our borders. A wall is NOT a logical answer. Immigrants go under an over fences all the time. Technology is much more affordable and effective at preventing undocumented crossings. seismic equipment in the ground the detects footsteps works great. Infrared heat and night vision technology also works great. Drones can patrol 180x more miles of border in the same time that a vehicle on the ground can. Copuple the drone teams with group d response teams to react to situations or crossings. Lastly, revamp our visa and immigration system. The system is broken. fix it. The last 5 presidents have failed to fix immigration. Hopefully Biden will get it done.
