FLORIDA — While the Gabby Petito case and the search for her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, dominated the national news, two Florida mothers are still waiting for answers after their daughters were reported missing and discovered dead during the same time period that the search for Gabby Petito was capturing headlines. Angelina Failla of Port Richey, the mother of a 2-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son, disappeared on Aug. 7. She was found dead in the back yard of a Port Richey home Sept. 30. Sheridan Wahl, a 21-year-old University of South Florida student, disappeared Sept. 19 while traveling to South Carolina to visit her father who lives in Myrtle Beach. Her body was found Sept. 21 behind a fire department training tower, about 10 miles from where authorities discovered her burned-out burgundy Toyota two days earlier.
