I have a 39-year-old nephew who lives in San Francisco. About 8 months ago he got Covid and being healthy he got over it pretty quickly. Unfortunately, he ended up being in that one percent group that developed long-term side effects. It caused almost total heart failure.
He is now on disability and working hard to keep the medicine that he is on stabilized while he waits to get on the heart transplant list. He is relatively new to the area and has no family and really no close friends.
That being said I am looking to find others who have heart failure, or any other medical condition for that matter, to connect with in a support group type friendship. I would also welcome being pointed in the direction of any online support groups, blogs etc. Even meeting others who do online gaming or those type of activities to keep him busy and his mind off of things would be OK. I don’t know much about those myself so I am open to learning more about them.
I welcome any and all responses, suggestions, links to other related websites etc.
