Description
Ideal candidates would have experience as a Construction Project Manager for Federal Construction Projects and a degree or technical training in Engineering/Construction Management or related field will be preferred. Candidates must have knowledge about all stage of the construction process from scope development to project closeout. Project Manager will be responsible for obtaining, planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising construction to ensure an on-time, on-budget project execution with high quality and no safety issues. RESPONSIBILITIES Plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish.Organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.Able to understand project specifications and interpret contract drawings.Ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.Oversee the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment; worker safety and productivity; and the quality of the construction.Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports. Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored properlyEnsure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.Determine needed resources from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.Identify, track, manage and resolve project issues.Prepare and submit monthly invoicing and progress reports.Chair progress meetings with Clients.Communicating with/directing subcontractors and material suppliers.Communicating with/directing field personnelPrepare subcontracts and purchase orders. Review and prepare submittals as necessaryContinually seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships. Attend progress meetings as required. REQUIREMENTS: Proven experience as construction project manager. Well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures, and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.In-depth understanding of construction procedures, and material and project management principles.Knowledgeable in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, tiling and several other architectural finishes, landscaping, doors & windows and other building /repair tradesAbility to maintain several projects at once complying with strict safety, quality and technical protocols and have the ability to take a job from start to completion.Familiarity with quality standards, and health and safety requirements.Familiarity with Project Management systems such as Timberline, Procore, CPM Scheduling.Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.A team player with leadership abilities.Provide references to support work history.Must be able to work closely with people of diverse backgrounds and levels of authority.Must be willing to travel 25 % in the Washington D.C area.Must be trained - OSHA 10 or 30 hour and First aid — CPR,Must be trained - US Army Corps of Engineers Quality Control Management CertificationMust be eligible to legally work in US or have US Citizenship.Must be able to clear Pre-employment Drug Testing and Background Check. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Preferred but not required: Degree in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited University.PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.5-10 years of experience as Construction Project ManagerGeneral Contractor, 3 years (Preferred)Federal Government Contracts/IDIQs, 5 years (Preferred)Project Management, 7 years (Preferred) Job Type: Full-time Pay: Annual salary is dependent on experience and qualifications.
