Happy Saturday, people of Salt Lake City! Here's everything you need to know going on in town today. First, today's weather: A couple of showers. High: 56 Low: 43. Here are the top stories today in Salt Lake City: Daniel Parolek, a national expert, is urging Utah cities to prioritize a certain type of housing that he says is too often missing. Parolek said having more middle housing can help more people afford homes and defines middle housing as units such as "a duplex, a triplex, or a four-plex, or a cottage court" – ideally in a walkable area – that fit in among single-family homes. Parolek says it's critical for cities to think differently and allow more multi-family housing, making home ownership accessible to more people. The baby was rushed to Primary Children's Hospital by air ambulance. Medical personnel confirmed the injuries were severe and could possibly lead to death. They also indicated the injuries were consistent with the infant being shaken or slammed into something. Police then arrested Dillon H. Butikofer, 20, and he was charged with two felony counts of injury to a child.
