Around 6 p.m., October 8, officers responded to the 100 block of Coastal Place on a report of a male suffering from gunshot wounds. Upon arrival, they located an adult male with life-threatening injuries, which he succumbed to. Detectives began quickly collecting information on this case and were provided a suspect description. The suspect, identified as Charlie Sapp, 54, was located in the vicinity of the crime scene and detained. Subsequently, he was arrested and charged with murder.
