Livetronica - drums, bass, & keys wanted

Description

I'm interested in finding musicians to put together a gigging livetronica/jamtronica band that plays electronic-inspired improv and compositions in a rock band format. Influences include the Disco Biscuits, Brothers Past, the New Deal, Jojo Mayer/Nerve, STS9, Bonobo live band, Tycho, etc. I'm an experienced guitarist in my early 30s, have been writing a lot of tunes recently and am eager to start a project to explore/create some new ideas. I could play bass depending on how things go with assembling the personnel for this group. I have also been doing a lot of experimentation with guitar-triggered synths that could open up some possibilities and provide an alternative to guitar tones at times when guitar doesn't fit that style. I have a full-time day job but a lot of bandwidth to devote to a project, and would expect that we would commit to at least 3-4 practices a month, ideally on weeknights. Hoping to find a drummer who loves to play four on the floor, DnB, jungle beats, a keys player with great synth chops, and a bass player who can play with a thumping, confident style that isn't too busy and can confidently navigate/lead segues between songs. If any of these sound like you, shoot me an email in the upper left, say a little about your experience and influences and let's see where we can take this! Brian
