I found a guy dumping a German Shepherd on Airline Park Dr. He said he picked the dog up when the storm started. I picked the dog up and took the dog home. I belong to several Animal rescues. The German shepherd is at my home safe with food, water and a large yard to roam. If the dog is yours please identify the dog to see if it is yours. I know this dog belongs to someone. The dog follows commands and is very dog friendly with my dogs, except for 1 mannerism which you will have to identify. Grey, white, and yellow bird w/ orange cheeks. Piper got lost today (8-1) in Mandeville near Adventure Pets abs ST Timothy’s Church. We are devastated. Reward offered. She is non-aggressive - friendly but shy. Black and Tan long haired collie/shepherd mix, about 12 years old. She should be wearing a leather collar with red, blue and yellow woven pattern on top and a tag with her name. Looks like a black lab mix with some white fur on his chest. Blue collar, no tags, probably around 80 pounds. No injuries or anything from the storm, seems healthy, just a little jumpy from whatever he went through. Friendly and well behaved. I'd guess he's at least 5 years old. I called around to a ton of shelters that either won't pick up or accept him right now. Was gonna let him stay at my place for a while but with the long power outage, my family now has decided to relocate and we don't have room to bring him along (and even if we could, can't keep him where we're going). If anyone can look after this guy that would be great. I don't want to just have him back on the streets. I can drop him off this morning in town or at any location along the way from New Orleans East to Jackson, MS. You can also pick him up if possible. Please help this animal! I know it's hard to do right now but hopefully we get him some shelter.
