I've had this idea for a while, and it's finally coming together: An indie cover band that does less popular songs in interesting ways. The kinds of artists I'm talking about? PJ Harvey, St. Vincent, Bjork/Sugarcubes, Velvet Underground, Smiths, Phoebe Bridges, Julian Baker, Mazzy Star, Slowdive, Bowie, Radiohead, Belle et Sebastian, Patti Smith but then maybe some curveballs like Taylor Swift, BTS songs covered in totally unusual/weird ways. Think: Novelle Vague but different
