My dear friend Janice lost her 16-year-old Cairn Terrier, Dolly, this past year and is longing to give a loving home to another senior female dog. Janice herself is a senior citizen and wants to share her life with a canine friend who will enjoy the balance between an active life of walks and a relaxing life of petting and being showered with love. Janice lives in an active senior community in Scott Twp. (between Carnegie & Bridgeville) that permits lap-size dogs. Her apartment is on the first floor, making it easy for frequent walks. Most of her activities are right on site, so Janice is never more than a short walk from her door, and her pup would never be alone for more than an hour or two. Janice is healthy, fun and social, so her new senior friend would be in for a fun and fulfilling life. Knowing that there may be concerns about the fact that Janice is a senior citizen, Janice has made arrangements with her niece, who lives locally, to provide a good home for her dog if something should happen to Janice. In addition, Janice has both veterinarian and personal references and is willing to pay a rehoming fee.
