About us: Privately owned and over 30 years in business, we specialize in vintage apartment and retail buildings. We are vested in keeping our buildings well maintained, preserving the charm of these historic properties, and in keeping our customers comfortable. Our buildings are in Portland, close in, on the east and west side. We are seeking an experienced Painter. This is a roving position primarily servicing multifamily properties in Portland Metro Area. Position requires 3 years of professional experience as a painter. Applicants must possess the following: * Proficient in paint preparation for all substrates interior and exterior * Capable or cutting in without masking, fast, efficient, and clean * Knows thinning and clean up requirements for latex and oil based products * Able to set up a job, preform work independently with a high degree of efficiency, cleanliness, and professionalism * Must be able to cut-in ceiling, base board, one door, and one average window in approximately one hour or less in an average 10x12 bedroom. Paint lines must be straight and the job clean * Must be able to roll out an average 10-x12 bedroom in about one hour * Capable of moving and lifting ladders and equipment * Proficient in the use of power washing equipment Qualifications: * 3 years professional experience as a painter * Reliable, insured transportation * Valid driver's license * Ability to lift 40 lbs., climb stairs and ladders * Very reliable and teachable * Consistently on time and professional in appearance * Must be efficient in use of time and able to do skilled work * Excellent follow through * Must be a team player, good with customers and other workers * Flexibility and willingness to assist wherever the need is. * Ability to follow direction and also take initiative. * Be able to understand written and spoken instructions in English Starting at $15-$19 per hour.
