Established five-piece casual/club band with guaranteed monthly gigs is seeking an exceptional female lead vocalist that can not only sing a wide variety of music from the 1970’s through today’s hits, but can also entertain large crowds. More than a singer, you must be a performer. We play a number of well-known venues in the San Fernando Valley as well as parties, weddings, reunions, special events, etc. We have been together for nearly 15 years and are seasoned veterans of the local music scene. Although we are not full-time musicians that make their living playing in the band, we are career professionals that are quite successful at what we do on the side. Our current lead vocalist has been with us since the beginning. However, she is retiring to devote more time to her family. She will continue to perform with the band until her replacement is found. Before you respond, please be aware of our requirements and read them carefully: We are looking for someone that will devote their energies to just this band. Being in multiple bands means multiple problems. We all belong to this one band. We expect you to do the same. No hired guns, free-lancers or dreamers. NO READING LYRICS FROM AN iPad or iPhone ON STAGE! Either you know this stuff, or you don’t. Rehearsals are bi-monthly unless we are gigging that week. We are constantly learning new songs to keep it fresh, so rehearsals are a must. The band is based in Burbank, so we prefer someone that lives locally.
