Not-quite-punk three-piece seeks fourth

Meets

Ridgewood NY

Description

What we have here is a rebooted version of a band that's been gigging around NYC for a few years. Not looking for a mere copy of the previous lineup. While we're playing some of the older material (and probably will for some time), we're pretty dedicated to the newness and we're already playing some new songs the old lineup never played. This band has been described as "punk," but I think we're more "punk-adjacent." Driving beats, but without the constant down-stroking. There's more space in the arrangements than that. I think the guitar parts are getting more jangly over time. A lot of room for melody. If you can get down with, like... a playlist that has Love, The Smiths, Pixies, Big Star and Sheer Mag, then you're prob in the right place. Got guitar/vox, bass/vox and drums atm. We're gig-ready and we do have connex at the good rock'n'roll clubs around Brooklyn that you like to go to and that treat bands fairly. We'd love a fourth -- guitar or keys, or both, or either of those two combined with the ability to play bass and switch up instruments. Ability to harmonize vocally would be great. Ability to harmonize above the tenor range would be ideal. We're committed to a welcoming and diverse music community, and to playing in and with bands that actually represent the audience, and we practice in Bushwick.
