Inspiring & assisting urban educators in connecting w/ the majestic ecology of the Great Lake Erie bioregion. Open to all w/ a curious mind GLEEE2021 kicks off at 6p on Wednesday November 3rd with an outdoor fireside dinner followed by a Walk About/Talk About on the topic of regenerating urban nature to foster the next generation of stewards for our Great Lake Erie. For those with an all-inclusive ticket, plan on spending the night in our National Park in a cabin our your own tent! We begin Thursday morning at 6:30am with a Radiance Ritual, also outdoors and fireside, followed by Breakfast in the Dining Hall with a Keynote from a local expert followed by 2 sessions of Field Based (OUTSIDE) Workshops with a break for lunch and another Keynote. Dinner features yet another Keynote followed by small group craft and handiwork activities and a nighttime astronomy show at 9:30pm. Can you handle all this learning?? Friday follows a simiilarly rigorous schedule of learning, listening, doing, and meeting new outdoor education-experts, ending at 4pm. Graduate Credit available through Ashland University. Over 25 presenters from organizations including University of Akron Field Station, Leopold Education Project, Cleveland Metroparks, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Bluestone Conservation, Cudell Fine Arts, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Rid-all Green Partnership, Food Strong Cleveland, and many many more!
