Learn how to create one-of-a-kind ceramic serving pieces from nature
These pottery pieces are formed from all things Tava.
Stones and botanics grown right here at Smokebrush Farm and SunMountain Center are pressed into clay, impressing naturally-formed textures, patterns, and shapes into these one-of-a-kind serving pieces. Unique and functional, they are food, dishwasher, and microwave safe, and are meant to be enjoyed and used.
Join Maggie Quinn as she demonstrates how to create these works of art, and over two guided sessions, instruct students as they use these skills to make their own personalized, unique ceramics, formed from nature.
Your first session will begin as we gather our raw materials onsite, followed by the pressing and sculpting of your piece. In our second session, we will glaze, then fire your creation, revealing a finished treasure of your own creation.
