Description

This event is perfect for families and individuals who are interested in learning the foundational principles of ancestral veneration. Join us as we explore a brief history of Ancestor veneration and share a few ways to honor and elevate your Ancestors. Ancestral veneration is a key component of the indigenous spiritual traditions around the world as well as Ifa and Orisa tradition. One can even consider ancestral veneration and acknowledgement as a spiritual practice and not religious as it transcends any one particular religion or ethnic group. There are various ways that you can venerate you ancestors, meaning there’s no “right” way to do it. Throughout the day, there will be live workshops to address the importance of ancestral veneration along with why and how the practice could benefit you. Live workshops include: • Setting up an ancestral altar • Healing generational trauma • Throne tapping meditation • Q&A Panel and more!!! If you’re interested in being a vendor, please send a text to (707) 383-9837. Afrikan Traditions Art Gallery is open to the public and whether you’re a local Las Vegas resident or a tourist, we welcome you to stop by and visit our gallery. We are also committed to being a viable venue for various community events.  Book Clubs/Signings, Meet & Greets/ Entrepreneur Mixers, Intellectual Q & A’s, Art Workshops, you name it we are here for you.
