Matawan Haunted History Tours are back again for another year of fun historic accounts mixed with stories of paranormal activities. Matawan Haunted History Tours is an all new walking tour taking you along a new route with new ghost stories and historical accounts. Be prepared to walk about 1 1/4 miles during the 1 1/2 hour tour.  Four times slots offered at 1 1/2 hour increments. Children are free. Matawan Historical Society was established in 1969 for the purpose of researching, educating and preserving the history of the Matawan and its surrounding communities, our state and nation.  The Society raises funds that are used to preserve and archive historical documents, books and papers, to aid in restoration projects, to host guest speakers for presentations,  and to organize and run tours at the Burrowes Mansion as well as organize special events.  The Matawan Historical Society is a membership driven organization open to anyone interested in history.  All events and presentations are open to any and all who are interested in history.
