The Hard Charger 5K was created to honor our veterans as well as support Courage Rock Stables; a local veterans organization Day and Knight Fitness Presents The Hard Charger 5K Run/Walk: In Honor of Our Veterans Date: November 13th, 2021 Time: 9:00 AM-11:00AM Location: Twin Lakes High School track Participant Price: $30.00 (T-shirt will be included) *Not a timed event* *Event will not be canceled due to inclement weather* All proceeds from the 5K go to Courage Rock Stables: Courage Rock is a local Veteran Organization that uses Equine Therapy to assist in the healing of PTSD. For more information about Courage Rock Stables visit https://www.couragerock.rocks/ *If you do not wish to participate in the 5K but would still like to donate, there is a link on the website* Hard Charger Challenge: Wear a weighted vest (i.e. plate carrier) or weighted backpack (Ruck) and complete the 5K. It is up to individual runners to decide how much weight they run with. *Runners do not have to participate in the Hard Charger Challenge to run the 5K. We welcome everyone of any ability. This is to celebrate our Veteran community and to help Courage Rock expand their reach to Veterans* Why the Hard Charger Challenge: Many in our Veteran Community have had to endure some of the harshest conditions that most Americans will never know. They have had to push their bodies to limits that at one time in their life they never thought was possible. The Hard Charger Challenge was designed to honor that sacrifice. Most people can run a 5K- this is a way to challenge yourself and experience what our military members go through. Registration: Begins at 8:00am Runners will receive a bib, t-shirt, and a silicone wristband along with information about Courage Rock and other Veteran Organizations Race: The race route will be clearly marked. *We ask that all participates wear apparel that represents which branch they served in, or if they did not serve to wear apparel that represents a branch that a family member or friend served in* *Flags and other patriotic symbols are encouraged*
