This dog showed up at the hotel a day ago. She was sniffing around for food, clearly very hungry. It was obvious she had a broken leg since she was hopping and the injured leg was just dangling (the bottom of the leg, below the knee or lower joint). I fed her some cat food I had left over & decided to take her to a vet (I just can't help it, I feel sorry for stray animals. Stray people, not so much. Haha. I can say that with no guilt because I've been super poor before & animals can't help themselves, people can). Anyway, I was gonna pay to get her leg fixed & hope I could find her a home since I have business to attend to in another state & can't do anything else to help. But the vet said the leg has been broken for a while & there's no feeling in it & it needs to be amputated. I can't do anything else to help the poor dog. She's so friendly, clearly she had a home once. When we returned from the vet I put food & water out but she kept wanting to follow me up to the room & there are no pets allowed here. The maintenance guy had to shoo her from the 3rd floor because she kept wanting to follow me. So I'm putting this on CL hoping someone else with a heart can take her in. I have to leave in a few days (I'll be back in a month) but the hotel will send this dog to a place where they will definitely kill her. No doubt. So give me a call if you'd like a friendly dog but just so you know, she needs medical help. My # is .
