The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. DescriptionThis NRA Basics Pistol Course is a comprehensive course to introduce you to handguns. This course will be $100.00, which covers your range and classroom fee and the course materials. Your NRA Certified Pistol Instructors will go over essential information for beginners and anyone wanting to refresh their knowledge about the basics and fundamentals. We will go over both types of handguns: semi-automatics and revolvers and teach you how to efficiently and effectively handle and operate both types. What you will learn: Essential gun safety rulesDifferent types of pistols How to pick the right gunThe basics of ammunitionThe fundamentals of pistol shootingDifferent shooting positionsThe most common shooting errors and how to prevent themMalfunctions and how to clear themProper gun cleaning and maintenanceHow to maintain your skillsScoring targetsWhat you will need: Eye and ear protectionMinimum 200 rounds of factory ammunition (ammo will be available on site for purchase)Suitable gun cleaning kit and your pistol owners manual (If using our guns, you will not need a manual)Handgun of your choice: Semi-auto or Revolver (Rentals will be available on site)Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for check-in. Note: If you are taking this course in conjunctionn with NRA Pistol Instructor Course, you will not need to register here.  There is an option when registering for the NRA Pistol Instructor Course which allows you to opt in to this course also.
