Growing Chess in Tucson Again Lessons open to all ages. Beginners at 5:00pm Mondays or Thursdays. Intermediate/Advanced at 6:00. We also offer tournaments and other chess events. Prior to the Pandemic shut downs, 100% of our players we deemed ready qualified for the State Tournament (unfortunately the State Championship was cancelled due to the pandemic). We also coached the First Grade State Champion (Grade Championships were held just before the shutdowns. Our main instructor travels all over the country playing in national events. The owner is a US Chess certified tournament director who has directed at national events. The owner is also a certified elementary school teacher with endorsements in early childhood education and gifted and talented education. We will soon be launching Story Time Chess which introduces chess to Preschool age kids.
