SUDBURY, MA — A 70-year-old hiker from Sudbury was rescued after falling along a Mt. Washington trial on Thursday, according to New Hampshire Fish and Game.
The man was hiking along the Huntington Ravine Trail on the southeast side of the mountain near 3 p.m. Thursday when he fell. He was unable to move due to an injury, officials said.
The Appalachian Mountain Club, Androscoggin Valley Search and Rescue Team and state conservation officers located the man and carried him down the mountain on a stretcher, making it to the Pinkahm Notch lodge by 7:30 p.m. He was taken to a hospital in North Conway for treatment, authorities said.
