Duties and Responsibilities • Assist all cabinet makers in assigned work • Saw with stationary power tools, circular saws, and hand and portable power tools • Use a band saw, scroll saw, and saber saw • Use all other hand and portable power tools. Use planes and scrapers • Knowledge of procedures for drilling and boring • Read blueprints and work from sketches and verbal instruction • Select drawer glides based on potential load and use of drawers • Build cabinet mock-ups • Measure and lay out cabinet components • Prepare woodwork and apply various finishes using brushes and spray equipment • Other duties and assignments as requested by management Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Safely operate equipment being used • Correctly apply different types of fasteners • Cut and assemble cabinet top or base • Follow all CalOSHA and Trinity Management safety rules and regulations • Perform preventive maintenance on machines used in cabinet shop • Remain professional in all communications • Keep detailed records and ability to complete reports as needed • Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs • Ability to sit, walk or stand for extended periods of time Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma.
