SALEM, MA — Salem residents who want to have a say in who will be the city's next mayor, city councilors and school committee members have until Wednesday to register to vote in the Nov. 2 general election. The Elections Office at City Hall on Washington Street will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. that day for those who want to register in person. You can also register online here. The Sept. 14 narrow the field in the mayor's race and four City Council races. Salem State University will host a mayor's race debate between incumbent Kim Driscoll and challenger Steve Dibble on Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. Residents can view sample ballots for each ward for the Nov. 2 election here.
