Re: The Current Economic Crisis

Actually, we don't really have a current "economic crisis". We HAD a crisis under the lockdowns of COVID, but things are starting to recover. I would not call what we have is a crisis. As I have said before, the national debt is not 8 trillion dollars. It is 28.5 trillion dollars. The debt ceiling debate is about raising the ceiling to accommodate ALL of the debt run up by previous administrations, both democrat and republican. Both presidents, who PROPSE budgets and CONGRESSES who approve them. I DO challenge the statement, "Republican spend more than Democrats these days". I am confident that a careful look at votes cast in Congress (and even more so in Sacramento) on spending bills would show Democrats are more likely to vote "Yes" than Republicans. And I am not grumpy. If you are grumpy, or even if you are not grumpy, have a glass of wine. A glass of wine fixes everything but the leaking faucet in the kitchen sink.
