POLK COUNTY, FL —Davenport School of the Arts and Lakeland schools are hiring substitute crossing guards at its location, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said. In addition to substitute crossing guards, part-time positions are available, too. If you meet the qualifications and are interested in applying at Davenport, contact Supervisor Courtney Branch at 863-534-7300 ext. 109. Lakeland and Lake Wales are also hiring substitute crossing guards. Contact Supervisor Heather Strafford at 863-534-7300 ext. 108. Applicants are required to work for one hour in the morning, and for 30 minutes in the afternoon when scheduled at a crossing.
