BOSTON — A police cruiser and school bus collided in South Boston Friday afternoon, sending two officers and one student to the hospital, police say. The Boston Police Department says emergency crews arrived at the crash site near Dorchester Street and Old Colony Avenue just before 1 p.m. to find a school bus and police cruiser had smashed into each other in the intersection. The two Boston police officers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The student was the only one on the school bus at the time and was taken to the hospital for evaluation with no further details on their injury. There has been no word on the status of the bus driver yet. Dorchester Street and Old Colony Avenue are closed to traffic while crews conduct an investigation and clean up the scene.
