PARAMUS, NJ — CAMP, an increasingly popular store for children and their parents, is poised to open a location at the Garden State Plaza this month.
The "family experience store" offers hard and soft goods like clothes and games, but also curates experiences for kids, like a "Ruff Ruff Rescue" Paw Patrol event on the way at a location in Dallas, and at Hudson Yards in Manhattan.
CAMP already operates six locations, including three in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn, as well as a store at the SoNo collection in Norwalk, Connecticut. The Paramus location, as well as a location in Los Angeles, are next on the docket for CAMP's expansion.
According to a spokesperson for the company, the store is set to open on Oct. 19, and includes a list of activities and features in the 6,500 sq. ft. Garden State Plaza location. These include a treehouse, 1941 Ford F1 truck, musical bridge, mini theater and curated selection of toys, books and merchandise.
The company has gained popularity amongst parents and kids, growing steadily since the store opened in December 2018. According to recent reporting by the Wall Street Journal, CAMP plans to have 20 stores open by the end of 2022.
