Press release from the City of Knoxville - Blog: September 30, 2021 Forensic pathologists at the Regional Forensic Center confirmed on Thursday morning that it was the body of missing person Desheena Kyle that was located by Knoxville Police Department officers at a residence on Sam Tillery Road. The manner of death was ruled as a homicide. The body of Desheena Kyle was located on Tuesday afternoon by KPD officers who were conducting a search. That search was conducted based on a lead that was developed through evidence compiled during the investigation into Desheena's disappearance. Charges have not yet been filed in relation to Desheena's death and the investigation is continuing. Investigators are in consultation with the Knox County District Attorney's Office regarding prosecution in the case. Additional updates will be provided as they become available.
