In 1968, Morris and his wife Betty decided to purchase Farmers State Bank, where he served as President and CEO until 1983. He then moved to Chairman of the Board until his passing in 2019. Farmers State Bank is still owned and run by the Neighbor family. This tight-knit group anticipates their customers' banking needs and are well connected locally.
