Description
Hello Humboldt, we are facing a move and are looking to rehome our special flock of chickens. These endangered Nankins were mail-ordered from one of the few remaining breeders who offers them, and as a homeschool project our hope was to support their population by raising and offering pairs to the community. This has been an amazing family project but could also be an opportunity to start a Nankin farm! We have had two sets of chicks (4 hatched in late July, and 7 hatched mid August), 6 laying mamas and a papa rooster (1.5 years old). They are excellent setters and rated 10/10 for their mothering abilities. All chicks were hatched naturally (no incubator) and came out healthy. (If you are interested in just a few or a pair, please let me know and you can come choose them.) I will include their preferred feed and a travel waterer. We will be picky about who adopts them since each was hand-raised and is precious to us. Asking a small rehoming fee to help offset our immense cost of getting started. Thank you and have a great day.
