MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — If you're doing a little fall cleaning and happen to find an old game of "Sorry" you never know you're going to play or a treasure trove of Beanie Babies, consider trading them in at the Mendota Heights Toy Swap on Oct. 17. The toy swap at the Dakota Lounge in West St. Paul will allow residents of Mendota Heights, Lilydale, South St. Paul, Sunfish Lake, and West St. Paul to trade in any toy in good condition for another toy. There is no limit to how many toys can be exchanged, and participants do not need to bring toys in order to bring toys home. All toys must be in good condition, clean, and have all of their parts. Toys must be inspected prior to use, and must not be too heavy for a single person to carry. Accepted toys include books, board games, baby toys, costumes, action figures, puzzles, and stuffed animals. Items like baby gear, play houses, playground equipment, large sports equipment, game consoles, and clothing are not accepted. All unclaimed toys will be donated to Goodwill, Neighbors Inc., the Free Book Buggie, or the local library. Visitors are also encouraged to bring a canned food donation to Neighbors Inc.
