DEARBORN, MI — The City of Dearborn reminded residents Friday that the city can still help with damaged items from this summer's floods.
Although there is no longer a free pickup for flood damaged materials, residents can still call for a special pickup at 313-943-2150. The cost starts at $60 and can increase depending on the amount of discarding items.
Regular trash crews will still pickup some bulky items, such as mattresses, chairs and carpet. But they will not pickup heavier items, such as drywall, lumber and anything else not properly bundled.
Residents can also drop off bulk material at the city's DPW yard at 2951 Greenfield Rd on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
