JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A shooting in Center Point early Friday morning resulted in one fatality, as Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to a convenience store in the 1100 block of Center Point Parkway to find a man dead from gunshot wounds just before 5:30 p.,. Sgt. Joni Money said investigators believe the shooting occurred at a nearby apartment complex, and the victim was actually taken to the convenience store where he died. Money said details are still limited in this case, and anyone who may know anything about the shooting should contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at 205-325-1450.
