The Africatown Redevelopment Corporation met for the first time on Thursday and members are focused "solely on the total revitalization" of the community founded by slaves. Its mission is to improve housing and attracting and developing commerce within the historic community. (AL.com) A Mobile man has finally left the hospital after more than two months fighting COVD-19. This father of three struggled for 73 days against the Delta variant. He spent two weeks on a ventilator and chest tube, and is the first patient to survive this variant after having been on a ventilator. (NBC 15 WPMI) On Thursday evening, a man was shot in the chest on Alba Street in Mobile and then driven to Seabreeze Road before first responders were called. (WKRG News 5) Two very young children wandered into a Mobile convenience store and police say it took two hours to find their family.
