Our mission is to promote the health, happiness, and longevity of pets in our community. What a better way of doing that, than by adding grooming to the long list of services we provide our furry friends. We are looking for excellent and experienced groomers and bathers to meet the needs of our high-end clients all over the Los Angeles area. The ideal person needs to be a dog LOVER! We are seeking reliable individuals that have a positive attitude, good work ethic, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and get dirty! We need individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are comfortable with all breeds, sizes and coat conditions. Patience for our furry friends is a MUST! We want to strive to create an environment where clients should know our groomers and bathers by name and look forward to talking with them to learn more about the general health and care of their pets. Your job will be to take great care of people's pets, make them love you and want "you" back. We are fully equipped with a Hanvey Van, Mercedes Sprinter. Groomer must provide all their own tools. We provide the van, bath tub, blow dryer, shampoos etc. We are looking to hire 2-3 dog groomers and 2-3 dog bathers. This position would start mid-November. JOB DETAILS/REQUIREMENTS • Dog grooming experience 2+ years required • Dog bathing 1+ years preferred • Valid Drivers License • MUST LOVE DOGS & have a gentle approach when dealing with dogs. • Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment, independently and as part of a team. • Must have great attitude, be punctual and reliable • Has outstanding communication skills & must be a team player • Must be open to learn our ways of grooming • Must be able to start working from early times • Must have reliable transportation • Ability to handling all breeds and sizes of dogs • Work in standing position for long periods of time • Reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift 50 lbs. • You will only be grooming 1 dog at a time JOB DUTIES • Knowledge on properly bathing all breed of dogs. • Knowledge on basic cuts and specialty cuts for all dog breeds • Blow drying using stand-dryer and/or force dryer • Brushing, De-matting, and De-shedding • Nail trims using nail clippers & file • Knowledge on expressing glands in proper way • Ear cleaning & teeth brushing • Knowledge on handling aggressive pets is a plus • Must have good customer service skills • Groomer assistant • Maintaining the grooming van clean and organized • Communicate with the client about their wants and if matches with the pet’s needs • Create a comfortable, safe, and stress-free environment for the pet • Produce a pet service that results in quality over quantity • Following safety/emergency protocols as directed • Preventive care • Dog behavior management • Grooming equipment care and maintenance • Client education • Van operation and maintenance COMPENSATION • Groomer: $20-$25/hr DOE. • Bather: $15-$18/hr DOE. • You’d be an Independent Contractor (W-9/1099) • You get paid every week!
