Diesel Mechanics We Operate a fleet of Class 8 Diesel Trucks and are looking for a mechanic that is looking for long term work that is also specializes in Volvos, Peterbilt & Freightliners, and Cummins engines. We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our family and team. The mechanic will be responsible for on-time PM services, diagnosis, and repair of all engine components in a timely manner. We are looking for a mature and self-efficient mechanic with little to no supervision, takes his job seriously to assure preventative maintenance for trucks to be on the road with little breakdowns. Earnings: Depending on the experience we are paying $25-$32/Hourly, Full Time Position Main Responsibilities: Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our drivers Doing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner Repairing and troubleshooting components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials, fuel system components, etc. Keeping your work area clean and safe Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor Qualifications: 2 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance High school diploma or equivalent (preffered); vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred) If you do not hold any certificates, we will do an on-field repair test to assure your experience. Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred). If you do not hold any certificates, we will do an on-field repair test to assure your experience. Experienced using tools of the trade (including diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools) Valid CDL driver's license or a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain CDL within 3 months (must also have or be willing to get an air brake certification) No Class A License is accepted The ability to solve problems Excellent customer service skills and communication skills The ability to work well as part of a team Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions Basic computer skills Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job Willingness to travel as necessary within the district, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required We are looking to fill this position and hire urgently.
