Mary's Tack and Feed in Del Mar, CA has an immediate opening for a Part time / Full time Feed Store laborer. • Successful candidate will be comfortably capable of heavy lifting and loading of 50-pound feed bags and 80-pound hay bales. • Friendly with good customer service and phone skills. • Must be able to work some weekends. • Shifts as early as 8am, shifts go as late as 7pm.Subject to change based on business needs. • Job requires basic horse knowledge or willingness to learn. We are retail store that caters to horse owners and riders.Product knowledge training provided. • Must have a clean DMV record. • Company provides vacation and sick time, holiday pay and more. • Will provide fork lift certification training. • Fun atmosphere and wonderful customers. EOE Responsibilities and Duties • Assist unloading delivery trucks (hay, feed, bedding) • Feed bags are 50 pounds, hay bales can range up to 80 pounds. • Stock feed/hay/bedding/etc in assigned storage areas • Load customer vehicles with product • Assist with deliveries on feed truck • After successful training - will take customer deliveries on feed truck to assigned local barns (must have clean DMV) • Restock store shelving • Merchandising, tagging and cleaning • Talk to customers in person and on the phone. • Other duties as needed Qualifications and Skills Good customer service skills. Good phone skills. This position will be loading hay and feed bags that can weigh up to 80lbs. It is 70% outdoor work. Benefits: This is a Full-time position that will require 40 hours a week. Company provides vacation and. Job Type: Full-Time 40 hrs/ week. Overtime as needed Pay: $15.50/ per hour starting $17 once a driver with a goal of within 90 days.
