Description

Hey! I am looking for someone with experience working on firetrucks / military vehicles to perform general maintenance on my 1994 Teledyne / E-one 8x8 p-23 Firetruck. Here's the link for her, she currently doesnt crank / start. I had it delivered yesterday and she's a beast. Would love to get her running. I replaced all the batteries and the electrical works (Lights, AC, etc). I can turn on the master switch, the ignition switch, and it has a start button but it doesnt crank at all when I press start - I'm going to troubleshoot if it's a starter issue, fuse, relay, or other electrical. It has a Detroit Diesel 8V92TA Also a huge plus if you worked on these in the military. Hopefully we'll get her cranking / started and then do a bunch of general maintenance things (Oil, seals, etc) Please TEXT me if you're interested in working on her as well as an hourly rate - I'm looking forward to hearing from you! -AJ Heres more about it: The P-23 is an airfield rescue fire fighting apparatus in service with the US military. The unit was produced by E-One / Teledyne / Continental Motors between 1994 and 1996, and Oskhosh starting in 1999. The P-23 crash truck is a larger version of the P-19 ARFF truck and has a larger fire suppression agent capacity. It is primarily assigned at transport, bomber, depot and cargo aircraft bases. Teledyne/E-One[1] Between 1994 and 1996 Teledyne / Emergency-One (E-One) manufactured 250 P-23 8x8 ARFF vehicles, 248 of which were sold to the United States Air Force. The USAF became aware of numerous instances of cracked P-23 cast iron hub assemblies and began monitoring these cracks in late 1996 and early 1997. In March 1998, the USAF issued a "restriction notice" for all P-23 vehicles, restricting P-23 vehicles to speeds no greater than 30 miles per hour (mph) during emergency operations, and no greater than 15 mph for all non-emergency operations. Several attempts were made to upgrade the hub assemblies, but failures continued to occur. Specifications: Detroit Diesel 8V92TA 8x8 2000 gpm pump 3300 gallon water tank 500 gallon Class “B” foam concentrate tank 500 pound dry chemical system
