Bird Store Cleaning Day Personnel

During cleaning day, a handful of personnel complete the following duties: o Moving cages, displays, and other heavy items o Cleaning floors, counters, windowsills, bathrooms, and variety of bird areas/supplies o Drying cleaned cages and replacing newspaper in trays o Collecting soiled linens/towels to wash, dry, fold, and return to designated areas o Pull dirty dishes, clean, and place on drying rack o Chop veg/fruit for birds and feed birds after their showers o Assist with scrubbing/sanitizing dirty cages and supplies o Minor cage repairs (Wheel replacement/WD-40, Screw tightening, etc) o Perch and toy safety checks and replacement when necessary o Observation of birds to ensure health and wellness o Weeding and pest control assistance Requirements: o Must be detail oriented o Must be able to focus on multiple things at a time o Cannot be noise-sensitive o Must be able to lift 50lbs + o Must be able to move heavy/cumbersome cages with caution and care o Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time, bending, turning, and squatting. o Reliable transportation o Cleaning experience preferred o Love of birds preferred Required Availability: Thursdays: 8am - 2pm (or later depending on store needs) Potential for other times depending on experience and proven ability.
