Meet Hummingbird! This beautiful domestic short hair mix is looking for the perfect home through Animal Friends Alliance. Hummingbird is about 2.5 years old, spayed, UTD on vaccines and de-worming, tested negative for Feline Leukemia, spayed and microchipped. Hummingbird was originally a stray found living on the streets of Texas.
This girl has been waiting for the perfect home for many months and is growing tired of shelter life--she has had little to no adoption interest. Hummingbird can become easily overstimulated (she can swat, scratch, attempt to bite) if she gets too aroused. We have found that cats with this tenancy do amazingly well if they have a job! Hummingbird loves people and would be a great addition to a workshop, enclosed barn or even an indoor/outdoor cat where permitted. She would also be a great indoor cat to someone that has experience with over stimulated cats--she will need regular and varied play and lots of territory to explore. She is a very clever girl!
She does not seem to mind the other cats here in the shelter. We are unsure of her history with dogs, but could possibly do well with a slow and proper introduction (we are happy to share this information) and will not do well in a home with small children.
