Become a Reading Mentor with The Shadow Project and empower a student with learning challenges to succeed! As a Reading Mentor, you'll work one-on-one with students with learning challenges, motivating them to set and achieve weekly reading goals using assistive reading technology. You'll mentor in a public school classroom during the regular school day. We are looking for volunteers (18+ years old) who can commit to 2 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months (Fall 2021, Winter 2021, or Spring 2022). Volunteers will start in late October/early November (Fall cycle), early January (Winter cycle) or March until the end of the year (Spring cycle).
