Need person to sign me out of Tampa VA Hospital

Having a chemo port put in and they use low level local anesthia For sme reason they require someone to be your "driver" and sign you out. They are being arbtrary and unworkable on it no matter what I offer. I need someone who can come to the hospital around noon and sign me out. I will be catching an uber to a hotel after that and need no other assistance. Any vets or anyone who can spare an hour on wednesday to help me out??
