Flowing Wells Irrigation District - Utility Technician
Job Objectives
Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in construction, maintenance, repair and service of water operations, facilities and equipment. Under the direct supervision of a Utility Maintenance Foreman or Assistant Superintendent, work is reviewed through proper use, maintenance and cleanliness of equipment, maintaining tool inventory safety and public relations. Work can require heavy exertion and may be performed under adverse weather conditions.
Candidate should have knowledge and experience in repairing water mains, service lines, hydrants, water valves, meters and equipment. Candidate should have an understanding of how to use tools and equipment that are associated with the Water Distribution.
Additional Requirements
A valid drivers license and high school diploma or equivalent are required.
Arizona Water Distribution Grade I Operator Certificate and CDL. (Flowing Wells Irrigation District management strongly encourages its employees to obtain Operator Certifications; however, it is not a required at the time of hire.)
