Why are Trump supporters so angry? The truth is, these people were pissed off and angry long before Trump ever entered politics. These people are bitter and angry but nature. Trump capitalized on (exploited) the anger of grumpy republicans and used it to his advantage. Trump fanned the flames of this anger. Trump poured gasoline on the fire.
Trump is a bitter angry person who has become the spokesperson for bitter and angry conservatives.
Personally, I prefer happiness and optimism to bitterness and resentment. If you are not happy, what is the point in living at all?
