Understanding poverty to better serve others and help facilitate change. Dr. Vicki Harrison leads a two-part evening community event. Based on highly acclaimed work in Bridges out of Poverty by Dr. Ruby Payne et al., is used by social, health legal service professionals, and wide varity of organizations as a framework for truly understanding and working with poverty. This is the 2nd year MRC Tampa has sponsored this event, hosted by New Hope Church (UMC). Dr. Harrison is a gifted teacher and the subject matter will inspire and empower attendees.
