This charter bus tour will feature local Marion County agriculture operations and give you the inside scoop from the farm! The 2021 UF/IFAS Marion County Agriculture Bus Tour will expose you to operations you might not be able to visit on your own. This will provide a deeper connection to our local farms and ranches. Seats are limited to 40 people; lunch, water, and program materials are provided for you. You will also have educational hosts along our bus rides to teach you about our local industries. Agenda: 8AM- Meet at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion front parking lot to board the bus. 8:15 AM- Depart 8:30 AM- Arrive at Ocala Breeder Sales Feed Mill- We will get an exclusive look inside an equine feed mill. 9:30 AM- Depart 10AM- Arrive at the Ocala Stockyard- tour our local livestock market and learn about the various sales that occur each week and the commerce of our livestock animals. 11AM- Depart 11:20 AM- Arrive at Glen Hill Farm- a class act thoroughbred training facility that also has a herd of beef cattle.
